For nearly 50 years, Rites of Passage has guided people through life-changing wilderness experiences that foster healing, self-discovery, and connection. This work has been sustained by participants, guides, volunteers, donors, and friends who believe that meaningful rites of passage matter. Participants often arrive during times of transition, grief, uncertainty, or a search for purpose, and leave with greater clarity, resilience, and a renewed sense of belonging.

Today, Rites of Passage is entering an important new chapter of its own. As our longtime Executive Director, Mike Bodkin, retires after decades of dedicated leadership, we are investing in new leadership, thoughtful strategic planning, and strengthening the organization so this work can continue serving future generations.
