Steven has been an active proponent of wilderness rites of passage since his first wilderness fast in 2008. Having had such a profound experience, he quickly realized his love for this work. He has trained with Mike Bodkin, Executive Director of Rites of Passage, Inc., and apprenticed and mentored with Scott Eberle, MD, of School of Lost Borders. Steven has been a guest speaker at local colleges to educate students of child psychology about the importance and impact of pan-cultural models of rites of passage for youth.
Steven has been studying and practicing healing arts for over 20 years, and has a hypnotherapy and shamanic counseling practice at the Petaluma Wellness Arts Center in Petaluma, CA. He has studied with Malidoma Somé, scholar and elder of the Dagara tribe of West Africa; Alberto Villoldo, shaman and teacher of healing arts of the Quero of Peru; Toltec Wisdom Carrier Armando Cruz Sanchez of Oaxaca, and others.
Steven is passionate about helping others navigate their life path and bringing forth their gifts and purpose. He enjoys the outdoors, music, and time with his wife and two young boys.
